  • Construction Details:
    • Conductor: Circular compacted Aluminum (AL), Class 2, for good conductivity and flexibility.
    • Conductor Screen: A non-metallic, semi-conducting compound is applied over the conductor.
    • Insulation: Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) provides excellent electrical insulation, high-temperature resistance, and durability.
    • Insulation Screen: A non-metallic, semi-conducting compound is applied over the insulation.
    • Metallic Screen: Copper Tape Screen (CTS) provides effective metallic screening.
    • Inner Sheath: A layer of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) serves as an inner bedding for the armour.
    • Armour: Steel Wire Armour (SWA) offers robust mechanical protection against physical damage.
    • Outer Sheath: A final layer of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) protects the cable from environmental factors and mechanical damage during and after installation.
